Pedestrian Bridge over Columbus Drive (US 12)

Ciorba Group prepared the preliminary and final design plans for the replacement of a pedestrian bridge crossing US 12 in East Chicago.  The proposed concept includes a basket handle tied arch bridge, and ADA ramps that enclose landscaped areas creating a park feel.  The intent of the structure is to provide a safe crossing for pedestrians accessing the nearby school and library, as well as to create a focal point for the community
