Interchanges are a critical part of our infrastructure and design concepts and criteria are continuously evolving. Improvements address safety and capacity deficiencies. Interchange improvement projects often include complex maintenance of traffic, drainage improvements, design of bridges on curved alignment, and design and installation of lighting and traffic signals. Our staff is experienced in interchanges on new alignments and successfully applying our multidisciplinary approach to preliminary and final design of some large IDOT improvements.
