Ciorba Group’s structural staff provides consulting services for preliminary concept studies for projects of any size and complexity that involve existing bridges or bridges on new alignments.
Often the preliminary phase of a project culminates in a bridge type study in which various bridge alternatives are presented to the owner/client. In some cases, the bridge alternatives are presented to a larger audience through Public Involvement meetings. During these phases, our structural group works closely with our staff of Context Sensitive Solution and environmental studies experts to elaborate solutions that are sustainable and sensitive to the needs of the end users. We believe that concept and feasibility studies are the real foundation of a successful project, so our studies normally encompass all relevant aspects: economics, scheduling, maintenance and life cycle cost analysis, design details and constructability.
Our structural team has experience completing studies that involve structures other than bridges: such as retaining walls, buildings, parking garages, tunnels, and other underground structures.
