Algonquin Road/Golf Road/New WilkeRoad Lighting Improvements

Ciorba Group prepared design plans, specifications and cost estimates and provided construction engineering services for roadway lighting improvements along 12,000 feet of Algonquin Road (IL 62), 3,000 feet of Golf Road (IL 58) and 3,500 feet of New Wilke Road. The new lighting system design included several circuits for redundancy with six separate controllers. Ciorba reviewed and approved all catalog cuts for the lighting equipment prior to installation. Extensive coordination with ComEd was conducted to relocate existing overhead utility lines and to identify power sources for the new system. Federal ARRA and STP funding was used for this project, requiring all documentation to be completed in accordance with IDOT requirements.
