PACE Park-n-Ride Facilities Along I-90 (Jane Addams)

Ciorba Group prepared preliminary studies and final design plans three new Park-n-Ride facilities along the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90). The project is part of the plan to make I-90 an intermodal corridor. The three facilities are located at the Randall Road, Barrington Road and IL 25 interchanges. Each facility will include a new parking lot for a minimum of 150 passenger vehicles, separate bus turnaround area, Kiss-n-Ride and shuttle drop-off areas, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, stormwater management and detention facilities, site lighting and landscaping. All construction will comply with ADA requirements. Coordination was required with all agencies in the project limits including the Illinois Tollway, the Illinois Department of Transportation, Cook County, the City of Elgin, and the Village of Hoffman Estates. Ciorba Group also provided construction observation services.
