75th Street at Book Road Traffic SignalModifications & Pedestrian Signal Updates

Ciorba Group completed the design of the modification of the existing traffic signal system for the intersection of 75th Street at Book Road, in Naperville, Illinois These modifications were required due to the addition of a right turn lane for southbound Book Road and the relocation of the existing multi-use path along the south side of 75th Street. The left turn movements for 75th Street were changed from protected-permitted to protected only, requiring modification of the existing signal head configuration. Pedestrian push-button posts were utilized to meet ADA and PROWAG requirements and minimize project costs. This project will be constructed using federal funds, therefore IDOT’s Bureau of Traffic Operations reviewed and approved this project.
