Commuter Drive Reconstruction and Bicycle Path Extension

Ciorba Group provided preliminary, final design and construction engineering services for the reconstruction of Commuter Drive. The project was a joint venture between the Village of Arlington Heights and the City of Rolling Meadows. The roadway connects the Arlington Park Metra Train Station parking lot to Rohlwing Road, a distance of 3,100 feet. A new 10-foot wide bicycle path extension was constructed to connect the station to Rolling Meadows’ bicycle path system on nearby Rohlwing Road. The improvement used federal STP and CMAQ funds; therefore, the construction documentation was completed in accordance with IDOT requirements.
