IL 92 Improvements

Ciorba Group as part of a Various/Various contract is providing preliminary engineering services to improve IL 92 between IL 84 and 48^th Street located in Moline, East Moline, and Silvis, Illinois. Studies will identify geometric deficiencies on IL 92 and develop alternative concepts for corrective action to improve safety and capacity. Intersection Design Studies including capacity analysis will be performed at 10 existing signalized intersections. Other studies will include preparing construction cost estimates, a crash analysis to determine problem areas and develop appropriate countermeasures, identifying and resolving intersections with substandard sight distance, preparing existing roadway typical sections and proposed typical section(s) based on preferred geometric alternative, and analysis right of way needs. A Traffic Management Plan will identify maintenance of traffic and staging needs during construction and an Environmental Survey Request form with necessary exhibits will be submitted to IDOT for processing. The project will be processed as a Categorical Exclusion, Federal Approved. Meetings will be held with the local municipalities and the Bi-State Regional Commission to present the project and receive input from these agencies.
