Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)Drainage Design

Ciorba Group served as a subconsultant responsible for the preliminary and final drainage design for the reconstruction and widening of the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway from IL 53 to Higgins Road (IL 72). The project included the reconstruction of three cross-road bridges, replacement of 19 cross-road culverts and construction of new noise and retaining walls. Ciorba was responsible for overseeing the development of the Concept Drainage Report, storm sewer design, hydraulic analysis of existing and proposed culverts, stormwater detention (both surface and enclosed), floodplain/floodway compensatory storage, ditch design, stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs), preparation of proposed drainage plans and profiles, drainage quantities and cost estimate, development of special provisions, and floodway permitting.
