North Chicago Municipal Engineering Services

Between 1989 and 2012, Ciorba Group served as the City Engineer for North Chicago (the City now employs an
in-house engineer). Our services included plan reviews for new developments, coordination with various government agencies and community groups and developing capital improvement budgets. Ciorba conducted engineering studies requested by the City involving stormwater management, sanitary sewers, water system analysis and traffic investigations. We investigated available funding sources and prepared grant applications for various infrastructure improvements. Ciorba obtained grants/low interest loans for the City from the federal Surface Transportation Program, FEMA, IEPA and LCSMC. Ciorba prepared the bid documents for the annual MFT funded roadway, traffic signal and street lighting maintenance program, including the yearend closeout documents. Ciorba developed the plans, specifications and cost estimates for all municipal infrastructure improvements.
