Western Development Area Water Distribution and Sewer Analysis

Ciorba Group performed a detailed analysis of the Village of Hoffman Estates water distribution and sanitary collection system for the Western Development Area (WDA). The WDA consists of approximately 4,000 acres of developed and undeveloped property. Ciorba Group’s analysis has included multiple updates over a 10-year period as new development came into the Village’s key business and commercial properties in the WDA. Recommendations led to the construction of a 2.0 MG elevated reservoir to accommodate forecasted development. Most recently, Ciorba updated the model for 2015 conditions, and analyzed critical transmission main shutdown scenarios to accommodate the widening of I-90. Recommendations included operational adjustments in order to accommodate shutdowns without impacting water supply.
